Why on Earth did the History Channel Invite Carly Fiorina to Appear on The Men Who Built America Series?

Worst CEOs of All-time Lister: Carly Fiorina

If you are like most entrepreneurs who take pride in growing companies and watched The Men Who Built America series, you were no doubt shocked to see Carly Fiorina suddenly appear in the third episode as one of the talking heads who are supposed to add relevant detail or expert opinion on the subject matter. Now why the folks at the History Channel saw fit to invite Ms. Fiorina, who is generally regarded as one of the very worst CEOs in history for her near destruction of Hewlett-Packard, to comment about the greats of business is a baffling mystery. We attempted unsuccessfully to get an explanation from the people at the History Channel.

As one of our Silicon Valley associates put it, having Fiorina appear in the series is akin to having George W Bush speak at a conference on statesmanship.

The rumblings we are hearing over this insultingly bad decision by the History Channel have spread from coast to coast.

History Channel, you owe America’s business community a big fat apology.
